Creating Bohema was born with one goal in mind: creating an ethical brand that stands out with design, its own style, and doesn’t have to compromise. From the beginning, we focus on sustainable production and natural, plant-based materials. Respect, transparency, innovative approach — all of these come from love for art, fashion, and the city. Without compromise, we create our own style by connecting design with comfort. We look for solutions that will allow us to meet the needs of conscious consumers and raise awareness among those who are still searching for their personal style. We want to listen to YOU and create for YOU so that every joint step leaves a positive trace on the world.

STEP 1
Sustainable on-demand production and limited production batches
In Bohema from the beginning we put pressure on sustainable production based on transparency and simple rules. Our production model is based on two pillars: on-demand production and limited production batches on stock. We know how important it is for you to receive your order quickly but to limit overproduction we try to optimise our production processes.
We constantly work on introducing improvements with our partners in factories in which we create our shoes and bags. We concentrate on the way we cut leather and materials, we reduce the amount of waste and remaining elements are collected to be used in production of our accessories.
STEP 2
While creating Bohema, it was very important to us to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the environment, but also to avoid generating any negative effects. That’s why we use natural, plant-based materials sourced from waste produced by other industries to make our collections. Their innovative formula, developed through biotechnology, makes them one of the most durable, partially biodegradable, and environmentally friendly alternatives.
We, Bohema Clothing, were the first to introduce shoes made from innovative plant-based materials to the Polish market. We were not only pioneers in Poland, but also globally — we created the world's first shoes made from cactus. Why is this important? Because we are experts in selecting and developing plant-based materials tailored to different types of footwear. By choosing our shoes, you can be sure they are not only cruelty-free, sustainable, and fair trade, but also durable, comfortable, and of the highest quality. Take a look at the plant-based materials we use to create our shoe and accessory collections. In our collections, you won’t find materials that contain harmful chemicals or that are produced through human or animal suffering, or the exploitation of our natural environment.
We don’t use:
Leather, silk, wool — any materials that involve animal cruelty, poor working conditions, or slave labor in tanneries.
Polyester or acrylic
At Bohema, we strive to avoid petroleum-based materials due to their harmful environmental impact. That’s why there is no place for acrylic or polyamide in our products. Polyester, elastane, and recycled polyester appear only as minor additives in select fabrics — when necessary to stabilise structure, enhance durability, or provide flexibility.
STEP 3
Sustainability from the idea to the packaging
Sustainable design means taking care of raw materials at every stage.
From the very beginning, materials have been the foundation for creating our products. As you already know, we work only with ecological materials that are environmentally friendly.
However, just as important as the materials themselves is mindful design, which allows us to make the most efficient use of them. All production leftovers are stored in our workshop to be reused for creating prototypes or smaller accessories.
Equally important as the selection of materials during the design process is the choice of materials for labels and packaging. Here, too, we use only eco-friendly or second-cycle materials — for example, our tags are made from recycled paper.

Design and personal style
We believe that timeless appeal is one of the main characteristics of sustainable fashion. We create classics inspired by the city and art — to show you that there are shoes you can wear always.
From the very beginning, our designs have shown a distinctive line inspired by brutalist architecture and urban life. This allows us to give new life to classic shoe models by playing with their form. When designing our shoes and bags, we don’t compromise between comfort and design — because we believe that good design means both functionality and aesthetics. We make sure our shoe designs reflect timeless and classic shapes, but we add a pinch of our unique style that you’ll recognise in every piece. We want you to be able to build your wardrobe around your own style <3
