That’s why we want to show you how important it is to choose the right model for your feet. Remember — all feet are different, and each one deserves special care. After all, it’s thanks to them that we can keep taking steps in the right direction <3 Be sure to check out our guide to learn how to measure your foot and find the perfect model to match your feet.

Did you know...

There are three types of feet, and their names come from ancient civilisations?
Make sure to check which one your foot belongs to <3

Egyptian foot

This type of foot feels most comfortable in shoes with rounded toes. It’s best to avoid pointed styles, as Egyptian feet are more prone to developing bunions.

Greek foot

This foot type works great with pointed shoes, but also with models that have rounded or square toes. Just remember — when measuring your foot, measure from the tip of your longest toe (the second one)

Rome foot

This foot type is the least prone to pressure or strain. It feels best in shoes with rounded or square toes. If you want to visually lengthen your foot, go for styles with multiple straps, front stitching, zippers, or a triangular cut-out at the top.

It’s worth knowing which shoe models fit your feet best — that’s why we’ve prepared alittle guide for you.

Looking for the most comfortable shoes for your feet?

Comfortable shoes - not only length plays a role

When choosing shoes, remember that width and the height of your instep matter too. At Bohema, we design our shoes to fit feet of various widths. However, if you know from experience that your feet are very narrow or have a high instep, it's best to choose styles with adjustable features — like laces or buckles — for example, Mary Janes.

Foot Shape FAQ

How do I know if I have Egyptian, Greek or Roman feet?

Look at your toes. If your big toe is the longest, you have Egyptian feet. If your second toe is longer than the big toe (Morton's toe), you have Greek feet. If your first three toes are roughly the same length, you have Roman feet.

What shoes are best for Egyptian feet?

Egyptian feet feel most comfortable in shoes with rounded toe boxes. It's best to avoid very narrow, pointed styles, as Egyptian feet are more prone to bunions. Mary Janes and rounded pumps are great choices.

What shoes are best for Greek feet (Morton's toe)?

Greek feet work well with pointed shoes as well as rounded or square toes. When measuring your foot, measure from the tip of your longest toe, the second one.

What if my feet are wide or narrow?

We curate dedicated collections: shoes for wide feet, slim-fitting models for narrow feet and small sizes EU 33-35. For narrow feet or a high instep, adjustable styles like Mary Janes work best.

Are all BOHEMA shoes vegan?

Yes. Every pair is made from plant-based leathers such as Desserto cactus, Vegea grape and corn leather, handmade in artisan workshops in Poland.
