Platform Mary Jane ballerinas with a square toe are a bold reinterpretation of a classic style. Their geometric shape, inspired by brutalist architecture, gives them a distinct streetwear edge. The wide strap across the instep not only enhances their character but also ensures a good fit for both narrow and wide feet. Despite the chunky sole, these shoes are incredibly comfortable — lightweight and soft underfoot.

Made from Vegea grape leather (Italy). Grape marc from Italian wine industry (skins and seeds) transformed into supple leather alternative. 55-65% biobased. Slightly matte finish, holds shape well through structural stress points. Tested 50,000+ Martindale rub cycles.
About BOHEMA
BOHEMA is a Polish family brand founded in 2018 by Sebastian and Wioletta Szypula. Every pair is handcrafted in our Kolbuszowa atelier (southern Poland) by Sebastian's parents: Edward, master shoemaker with 30 years of experience, assembles each pair; Halina, seamstress, hand-sews the uppers from plant-based leather. Three generations, one workshop, small batches.
Care
Wipe with damp cloth and mild soap when dirty. Apply the plant-leather cream included with every order over €200 every 2-3 months. Air dry away from direct sun or heat. Store with shoe trees or rolled paper inside to keep shape.
Sizing & Fit
BOHEMA uses European sizing 35-42. True to size for most feet. If between sizes, size up half — plant-based leather softens with wear but does not stretch significantly.

These shoes were made in a local Polish manufacturer in the south of Poland according to the principles of sustainable production, which is a guarantee of attention to every detail and the highest quality workmanship.

Shipping of each model is duty free, and delivery options are FEDEX courier. You can return your order within 14 days. Return label is also paid by the client.

This is a sustainable vegan skin based on waste from the wine industry and bioPU.

Desserto® Cactus Leather
Cactus leather is a sustainable vegan leather created from Opuntia Nopal cactus and bioPU. Cactus leather meets the most stringent quality and environmental standards. Desserto® cactus leather is also partially biodegradable.

Viridis® Corn leather

Yes, fully vegan. The Squared Mary Jane Pumps are made from Vegea grape leather, a plant-based material produced from grape marc, a byproduct of the wine industry. There is no animal leather, no glue of animal origin, and no other animal-derived components. It is one of the most innovative plant-based leathers available today and a signature material choice for BOHEMA.
