Handmade Shoes From Poland
Every pair of BOHEMA shoes is made by hand in Poland by skilled craft workshops. Not in a Chinese factory. Not on an assembly line. BOHEMA grew from the craft of Sebastian's parents — Edward, a master shoemaker with 30 years of experience, and Halina, a seamstress — a heritage that shapes every pair we make.
Why pay corporations for shoes made in China? Dr. Martens moved production to Asia in 2002. Nike, adidas, New Balance - all manufactured in China and Vietnam. BOHEMA offers a real alternative: Polish craftsmanship, innovative plant-based materials, honest pricing.
Who makes your shoes?
Edward Szypula has been making shoes for over 30 years. His son Sebastian founded BOHEMA in 2018 to combine traditional cobbling skills with materials of the future. Every pair that leaves our workshops carries decades of experience - and a 2-year warranty.
What are they made from?
Plant-based leathers: Desserto (cactus), Vegea (grape), Viridis corn (pineapple). Materials that look and perform like the best leather, but come from renewable plants instead of animals. BOHEMA was the first brand worldwide to use cactus leather in shoe production.
How much do they cost?
EUR 127-239 for most styles. You pay for quality and craftsmanship, not for a corporation's marketing budget. Every pair comes with a 2-year warranty because we stand behind what we make.
