Plant Leather Shoes

Not plastic dressed up as leather. Not greenwashing. Actual shoes made from actual plants - cactus, grapes, pineapple leaves. BOHEMA was the first brand in the world to make shoes from Desserto cactus leather in 2019. Every pair is handmade in Poland by skilled craft workshops.

What is plant leather?

Plant leather is made from agricultural waste and renewable crops. Desserto uses Nopal cactus from Mexico - no irrigation, no pesticides, absorbs CO2. Vegea uses grape pomace from Italian wineries. Viridis corn uses corn leather from the Philippines. Real materials, real innovation.

Three materials, one standard

  • Desserto (Cactus) - soft, durable, naturally water-resistant. Our signature material since 2019.
  • Vegea (Grape) - rich texture from Italian wine waste. PETA Innovation Award winner.
  • Viridis corn (Pineapple) - textured, distinctive, supports Filipino farming communities.
